What if the businesses you supported gave you a voice, gave your community a stake, and kept more of the benefits close to home? That’s the cooperative difference—and there are more cooperatives in Minnesota per capita than any other U.S. state.
In fact, four of the largest U.S. co-ops are headquartered in Minnesota; the state is also home to 15 of the country’s top 100 ag co-ops, reflecting its foundational role in America’s agricultural supply chain and broader economy.
To celebrate these businesses and introduce more people to the cooperative model, CoMinnesota is hosting Own It! A Co-op Fest on Thursday, October 29 from 4-7 p.m. CDT at Broken Clock Brewing Cooperative in Minneapolis. The event will showcase 20+ local co-ops and explore the power of cooperative businesses that put people first.
Tickets are going fast!
The event is co-hosted by CoMinnesota, Cooperative Development Services, Minnesota Credit Union Network, Twin Cities Grocery Cooperatives (Eastside Food Co-op, Rivers Co-op Markets, Seward Community Co-op and Wedge Community Co-ops), Minnesota Coalition of Community Owned Real Estate and Broken Clock Brewing Cooperative.
