Cooperators gathered at the Willard InterContinental last week to celebrate the 2026 inductees.

The Cooperative Development Foundation (CDF) is extending the deadline for nominations to the 2027 Cooperative Hall of Fame until November 13 at 5 p.m. EST, giving the cooperative community additional time to recognize extraordinary individuals whose leadership has strengthened cooperatives and expanded opportunity for others.

Nominate a co-op hero by November 13

The Cooperative Hall of Fame honors cooperative heroes who embody the values of self-help, self-responsibility, democracy, equality, equity and solidarity. As its custodian, CDF invites nominations of individuals who have left an indelible mark on the cooperative community—whether by building institutions, championing shared ownership, expanding inclusion or developing the next generation of cooperative leaders.

Cooperative heroes show what is possible through both their accomplishments and the ways they support others. Their stories offer lasting inspiration, helping emerging leaders carry cooperative values forward and build communities where all people can meet their needs, pursue their aspirations and thrive.

CDF encourages cooperators to consider who has inspired them and use this extended opportunity to acknowledge that person’s contributions with a nomination.

Submit by 5 p.m. on November 13
