In August 2013, U.S. Co-ops announced the appointment of Brian Donovan as executive director of the newly formed Austin Cooperative Business Association (ACBA). U.S. Co-ops’s Colette Beyer spoke recently with Donovan about his background in the cooperative movement, the importance of cooperative business associations nationwide, as well as his vision for ACBA and his take on what makes Austin a ‘hotbed’ of the cooperative economy.
